Entry Requirements

When travelling to Buenos Aires as a tourist you won’t need to worry about having a visa unless you’re planning to stay for longer than 90 days, in which case you will need to speak to the Argentine Migrations Office.

However, you may need to provide proof of onward or return travel, so make sure you have any further flights booked in advance before arriving in Buenos Aires.

However, Jorge Newbery mainly serves domestic flights, so if flying from the UK, you should be arriving at Ministro Pistarini (also known as Ezeiza).

Bueno Aires Ministro Pistarini (EZE)

Also known as Ezeiza International, Ministro Pistarini is the main airport in Argentina, and one of the main hubs for the whole of South America.

The airport is about 20 miles from the city centre, with taxis, buses and coaches all running regularly.

A taxi is the easiest way to get to the city centre and should cost you around 250 pesos, or if you want to use public transport you can take a Manuel Tienda León coach to Retiro for 130 pesos before catching a smaller bus to your onward destination, and tickets can be bought at the airport, although this option isn’t recommended for first time visitors.
