Whether it’s the huge, bustling cities, or the picturesque sights of the countryside, India is a vast country with lots to see and do.

Cities such as Mumbai and Delhi can be an assault on the senses but are a great combination of the new and old, with architectural landmarks and traditional markets standing alongside modern new museums, galleries, restaurants and shops.

Further afield, there’s the iconic Taj Mahal, or the UNESCO World Heritage Site at the 16th-century city of Fatehpur Sikri, or you could take a day trip on one of the most famous train journeys in the world, the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway.

Or for a quiet and relaxing break, head to Goa, where you’ll find calm beaches, meditation retreats and wild tropics.

And wherever you choose to visit in India, you’ll be greeted with some great food options, created from delicious local spices, vegetables and fruits!

Ultimately, India is a country of massive contrasts, be it new and old, east and west or rich and poor, but it all means that it’s a fascinating country to visit, so be sure to check our fares here at Globehunters!
